The Challenge

Currently, most of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) based logistics service providers aim at last mile delivery services. They use small drones, that can carry payloads up to 2-3 Kilograms and fly effectively for 10-15 kilometers. This way, these operators can deliver single packages to one customer at a time and are limited to the area within a city or town. But to make logistics efficient and time saving; focus should not only be put on fast last mile delivery services but also faster middle mile delivery services. Only once the product/package reaches the nearest distribution center on time, will the last mile delivery drone be able to deliver it on time.

The Solution

LogiXair focuses on addressing the middle mile delivery sector improving transit times and making same day or One-day deliveries possible. A network of UAVs can be used to connect a large area and achieve the goal of Same-day (or) One-Day Delivery. This system saves the most critical and important resource- Time; by delivering between places within minutes to couple of hours. The aircraft uses hydrocarbon powered engines that have a fraction of the fuel consumption of an average truck; saving resources and fuel costs. This gives the customer flexibility to deliver the cargo to any remote locations with ease; without regards to the terrain conditions and landscape.
