Due to the societal challenge of the climate change, there is a need and a necessity to change our consumption behavior and our way of living. Previously, the focus has been on reducing greenhouse gas emissions within the sector of transportation. However, it is also equally important to change behavior and choices when it comes to food. Agriculture and espeically the meat industry are major contributors to greenhouse gas emission, and to be able to prevent and adapt to the ongoing climate change, the climate and our health could benefit from eating less meat.
To make plant-based food more attractive, we want to make it more accessible. Our solution and idea is to create recipes that are easy to cook and also cheap where a meal costs less than 1 Euro. There is already an existing concept in Sweden named "Portion under tian", and we would like to bring this concept to the Dutch market.
