INCLUSYS
Making time accessible.
In many cases, people with no or limited time perception are unable to use basic daily living aids such as a watch and are therefore not able to plan or even go through their daily lives without additional help. Hence, these individuals do feel insecure during the day and are depending on others. In German-speaking countries, about 4.8 million people have no or limited time perception due to different circumstances, for instance, cognitive impairments.
We developed ZEITKOMPASS. ZEITKOMPASS is a smartwatch concept dedicated to the visualization of time and interactive daily schedules. By displaying the day's activities in sectors with symbolic images and using progress indicators, we create a visual language that makes the abstract concept of time tangible. As the schedule is always accessible it provides security to users. Through multimodal reminders of upcoming events, the ZEITKOMPASS also increases independence and relieves relatives and caretakers.
