Blinky: Turn and brake indicators

The safety for cyclists in general can be greatly improved, since cyclists are currently one of the most vulnerable road users. Besides that, one third of all traffic deaths in the Netherlands involve cyclists and two third of all traffic injuries are with cyclists. The people who are affected the most by this problem are the cyclists themselves. It is in the best interest of everyone in traffic to increase the safety of cyclists, since no one wants accidents to happen.

Blinky's proposed solution is to improve the safety of cyclists by developing a wearable turn signal system and brake lights that can be easily controlled from the handlebars, increasing cyclist visibility on the road and decreasing the risk of accidents.
