"Akin", "tug" and "dismal": Ever heard of these words? Although many people have a solid background in English, some words and phrases are simply unfamiliar to them. What is more, reading the meaning of a new word today does not necessarily mean that you will remember it tomorrow. Whether you are reading books, watching films, reading newspapers or talking to people, we believe that an expanded vocabulary can set you apart and boost your confidence. A survey we recently conducted with 113 people confirmed this. More than half of the people with an English level of B2 or above stated they wanted to improve their vocabulary.

We propose an AI-based learning application that combines visual cues, gamification and personalization to memorize and actively apply advanced English vocabulary in real-world contexts. By integrating the latest OpenAI models to generate images, videos and stories about the words the user is learning, we will use visual cues to enhance learning and retention. In addition, challenge and reward systems will encourage users to actively use their new vocabulary in real-world contexts. The app is aimed at proficient English speakers aged 18 and over who live in an English-speaking environment.
