Mission

Our mission is to enhance global search and rescue efforts by leveraging innovative technologies and fostering community collaboration. Committed to saving lives at sea, we aim to provide efficient and effective solutions that improve the speed, accuracy, and reach of search and rescue operations, ensuring the highest chances of survival for those in distress.

Problem

Across the globe, search and rescue operations happen frequently in the open seas. Rescue teams must respond fast, as time is a critical factor for the survival of someone in distress.in many cases, rescue teams do not know the exact location of the vessels or individuals they are looking for, so they have to scan the vast open ocean with the hope of spotting what they are looking for. In many cases, they do find the missing boat or survivor after a costly search effort. In a few cases, the search will end in a few days or weeks without results, and survivors will show up alive a few days or weeks later. In countries with limited rescuers and no official search and rescue teams, local communities with help from the local coast guard, try to organize the operation with whatever limited rescuers they can secure, which makes the operation very short and limited in reach, reducing the chance of survival.

Solution

Today, there are hundreds of satellites orbiting Earth transmitting near real-time Earth observation combined with AI models that will aid in the search and rescue operations by analyzing satellite images of large surfaces of the open seas in a short time to locate vessels or survivors, helping search and rescue teams cover a larger area, extending search time longer after the official operation ends, increasing survival chance and helping countries with limited rescuers target their search efforts.
