Today, massive labor shortages are a global reality. In Europe alone, there are millions of jobs that are inherently dangerous or widely considered undesirable. These will only get increasingly difficult to fill as populations age and workforce expectations shift. Europe's vital logistics and warehousing sector in particular, faces a significant labor shortage, with 76% of leaders reporting this challenge (Descartes). This scarcity, driven by factors including an aging population (Eurostat) and the industry's perceived unattractiveness, creates operational inefficiencies and delays. The bottom line is: if we want to keep growing, we need more productivity.
To continue growing in a challenging labor market, we need automation. That’s why we are developing intelligent robots designed to think, learn, and interact with complex real-world environments. We believe that the future of automation in industries like logistics and warehousing is in mobile robotic manipulators. Unlike general-purpose humanoids, these robotic manipulators are simple, cheap, and effective tools for augmenting the workforce. They allow humans to shift away from dangerous, undesirable, and repetitive tasks and focus on roles that require higher-level cognitive skills, creativity, or human interaction.
End dangerous and undesirable work.
